Social Media Manager & Customer Service Liaison

Delta Athletics is looking for a college student or recent grad to join our team as a Part-Time Social Media & Customer Service Liason! If you love social media, volleyball, and working with people, this is the perfect opportunity to gain hands-on experience in marketing, customer service, and sports operations.

You’ll help manage our social media accounts, create engaging content, interact with athletes and parents, and assist with front desk duties. The role is 4-12 hours per week, with flexible scheduling and a mix of in-office and remote work.

Location: Chattanooga, TN (60-80% in-office, with remote flexibility)
Hours: 4 to 12 hours per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday—flexible schedule)
Pay: Hourly, based on experience ($12-18/hr)

Who We Are

Delta Athletics is all about making volleyball fun, challenging, and accessible to athletes of all levels. We run training programs for youth athletes (ages 10-18), run training leagues, and work build a strong volleyball community. Our goal? Help players improve, build confidence, and love the game.

What You’ll Do

We’re looking for a college student or recent grad who loves social media, sports, and working with people. This job is a mix of content creation, customer service, and a little bit of admin work. You’ll be working in-office or in-gym most of the time, with some tasks that can be done remotely.

Your Main Responsibilities

Social Media – Create and post fun, engaging content for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok (we love Reels). Use Canva, Adobe, or other tools to make graphics and videos.
Engagement – Respond to comments, DMs, and messages from players, parents, and fans.
Front Desk/Admin – Help athletes and parents when they come in, answer basic questions, manage sign-ups, and keep things organized.
Emails & Marketing – Send out updates, newsletters, and important info to our community.
Website Updates – Occasionally help with small updates on our site (don’t worry, we’ll train you).

Who You Are
  • You’re social media savvy. You know what makes a post engaging and how to interact online.
  • You have an eye for design. You can create good-looking social media posts using Canva, Adobe, or similar tools.
  • You’re great with people. You enjoy talking to parents, athletes, and coaches in person and online.
  • You have volleyball experience. You’ve played in high school, club, or college (preferred but not required).
  • You’re organized & reliable. You can juggle different tasks and get things done without needing reminders.
  • You’re a college student or recent grad looking for a flexible, part-time job.
Bonus Points If You
  • Have experience with email marketing (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.).
  • Know a little bit about website content management (WordPress, Squarespace, or similar).
  • Have a marketing or communications background.
