Why does Delta Athletics charge a signup fee?2026-08-05T16:09:15-05:00

Good question! Delta Athletics charges a one-time signup fee that covers three things:

  • Training shirt: your athlete receives a training shirt for the life of their membership. You will not pay for a new shirt when they advance classes. (If a shirt is lost or an extra is needed, we sell them at the front desk for a nominal charge.)
  • Athlete onboarding: covers the administrative setup of your athlete’s profile and account in our system.
  • Facility costs: contributes to gym rental and court preparation so we can provide the best training environment possible.

If you return within a year of stepping away, you will not be charged a signup fee again.

Private Lesson Cancellation Policy2026-08-05T16:09:30-05:00

Delta Athletics is a small local business that enthusiastically supports the volleyball community. We rent additional court time to allow our coaches to earn extra income, and our coaches rely on the extra income generated by this private work. That’s why we have the following policy: You may cancel anytime up to 24 hours before your scheduled lesson without penalty. If you cancel within 24 hours, we will request payment in full for the time booked to cover the costs we incurred. While you are free to ignore our request for payment, you may be disallowed from training with us in the future. Thank you for your understanding, we look forward to working with your athlete!

What forms of payment do you accept?2024-08-01T13:36:46-05:00
  • Our training classes use recurring billing, so we only accept credit or debit cards for these classes.
  • Private lessons and clinics run by our coaches are typically only cash, Venmo, or other form of instant electronic payment. Please check with the specific coach you are working with for details.

Cancellation

Need to cancel? No Problem! Send an email to Cancel@DeltaAthletics.com with the athlete’s first and last name.

When does my cancellation take effect?2026-08-05T16:07:48-05:00

When you cancel through the app, your effective end date is calculated automatically from our 20-day notice policy and shown to you immediately. If a billing cycle falls before the 20 days are complete, you’ll be billed for that month and can attend training through the end of it.

Examples:

  1. Cancel before midnight on the 10th of the month and your training slot ends on the last day of that month. (Cancel at 11:59pm on June 10th, your slot ends June 30th.)
  2. Cancel after midnight on the 10th and your slot ends on the last day of the following month. (Cancel at 12:01am on June 11th, your slot ends July 31st and you are billed a final time on July 1st.)
I told Coach _______ that we wanted to cancel, why did I still get billed this month?2026-08-05T16:07:51-05:00

If you’ve been to one of our training sessions, you know our coaches have a million things going on to keep training running smoothly. Trying to remember who asked to cancel while running drills across two or three courts is nearly impossible. That’s why no coach is allowed to take a cancellation from a parent or athlete.

The only way to cancel is through the app at app.deltaathletics.com. It only takes a minute, and you’ll get a confirmed end date immediately.

I texted, called, or DM’d asking to cancel. Why am I still being billed?2026-08-05T16:07:53-05:00

We cannot process cancellations by phone, text, email, or social media. We are a small business, and time spent trying to honor a cancellation over Messenger or another channel is costly and difficult. We are working hard to give your athlete the attention they deserve, so we ask that you honor our time by using the cancellation process correctly.

The only way to cancel is through the app at app.deltaathletics.com. Log in, find your subscription, and cancel from there. You’ll get a confirmed end date immediately.

My athlete missed a session (or sessions), can I get a refund?2026-08-05T16:07:57-05:00

We understand that sometimes life’s obligations become more important than a volleyball class. We prioritize small class sizes to ensure personalized attention, allowing only 14 athletes per court. When an athlete misses a session, it affects their experience, the experience of the other athletes, and our carefully planned staffing and court allocation.

Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for missed sessions, because we have reserved your spot, staffed accordingly, and dedicated court time for the scheduled session. If your circumstances require you to step away, we have a straightforward cancellation process: log in to app.deltaathletics.com, find the subscription, and cancel from there. You’ll get a confirmed end date immediately.

LEAGUES

What is a coached training league?2024-08-01T13:12:38-05:00

A training league is an 8-week volleyball program where athletes can join a team and compete against other athletes in their age division. At Delta Athletics, we’re all about giving athletes the chance to play volleyball in a local and accessible setting, all while receiving top-notch coaching. If club or school volleyball isn’t an option, our training leagues are a great way for athletes to keep playing and improving their game. There will be a lower league for ages 10-12 and an upper league for ages 13-17.

How much does a coached training league cost?2026-08-05T15:35:23-05:00

League pricing is set each season and shared when registration opens, by age division with an early-bird rate for families who sign up early. Want the numbers the moment they’re set? Join the interest list above.

The total cost of the training league includes a t-shirt for every athlete, professional coaching, referees for matches and the tournament, and end-of-season awards for the top 3 teams. Athletes must provide their own shorts, shoes, and kneepads.

What are evaluations?2026-08-05T16:09:06-05:00

Evaluations help our coaches create balanced teams within the training league. Every athlete attends an evaluation session where coaches evenly distribute skill sets across all teams. This is not a tryout. It is a way to make sure every team has a fair chance at winning the end-of-season tournament. Rest assured, every athlete who signs up for the training league gets a spot on a team.

What do you mean by professional coaching?2024-08-01T12:59:47-05:00

Delta Athletics believes that athletes deserve access to multiple high-quality coaches. We find exposure to multiple coaching styles allows athletes to find the coach that works for them and the opportunity to develop in their own way. This is why each week every practice will have a master coach for your training and a head coach for your team. At Delta, we have an open-door policy and believe both parents and athletes should be well informed about their growth and direction in the sport. Delta Athletics coaches are all IMPACT and SafeSport certified.

What are the age divisions?2024-08-01T12:56:56-05:00

We have two leagues available for athletes to join. Athletes aged 10-12 will compete in one league, while those aged 13-17 will have their own league. Can I move my child to an older or younger league?2024-09-20T10:50:44-05:00

Delta Athletics understands the desire to find the best fit for your athlete, but unfortunately, we’re unable to move athletes to different age groups due to our training league policy. Our teams are thoughtfully created to ensure fair playing time and balanced skill levels, so that every athlete has a great opportunity to grow and develop at their own pace. Once a season has started, teams are finalized, meaning athletes cannot switch teams within their league or move up or down. This helps us maintain consistency and fairness throughout the season.

Can I request for my child to be on a different team for carpooling reasons?2024-09-20T10:53:46-05:00

Delta Athletics is unable to accommodate team requests for carpooling purposes unless a parent volunteers to be an assistant coach. To keep teams balanced and ensure skills are evenly distributed, team requests cannot be fulfilled. Our goal is for athletes to grow alongside their peers, with equal opportunities to improve their skills and compete for the tournament win.
