Why does Delta Athletics charge a signup fee?2024-08-01T13:47:08-05:00

Good question! Delta Athletics charges a signup fee for two reasons. First, Delta Athletics will enroll your athlete into the Amateur Athletic Union (AAU). AAU has many membership benefits including supplemental sports insurance, that can cover additional medical costs if your child is injured at an AAU practice or event. As long as you a continuous member with Delta, we will keep you enrolled in AAU.  Second, the one time fee covers training shirts for the life of your membership – meaning you will not pay for a new training shirt when you advance classes. (of course, if you lose a shirt or want an additional training shirt, we sell them at the front desk for a nominal charge).

Private Lesson Cancellation Policy2024-08-01T13:48:52-05:00

Delta Athletics is a small local business that enthusiastically supports the volleyball community. We rent additional court time to allow our coaches to earn extra income, and our coaches rely on the extra income generated by this private work. That’s why we have the following policy: You may cancel anytime up to 24 hours before your scheduled lesson without penalty. If you cancel within 24 hours, we will request payment in full for the time booked to cover the costs we incurred. While you are free to ignore our request for payment, you may be disallowed from training with us in the future. Thank you for your understanding, we look forward to working with your athlete!

What forms of payment do you accept?2024-08-01T13:36:46-05:00
  • Our training classes use recurring billing, so we only accept credit or debit cards for these classes.
  • Private lessons and clinics run by our coaches are typically only cash, Venmo, or other form of instant electronic payment. Please check with the specific coach you are working with for details.

Need to cancel? No Problem! Send an email to Cancel@DeltaAthletics.com with the athlete’s first and last name.

When does my cancellation take effect?2024-08-01T13:42:23-05:00

Your cancellation will take effect 20 days after we receive an email at Cancel@DeltaAthletics.com that contains your athlete’s first and last name. If a billing cycle happens before the 20 days have completed, you will be billed for the month, and will be allowed to attend training through the end of the month.

Examples:

1. If your cancellation email is received before the midnight on the 10th day of the month, your training slot will end on the last day of the month. (Example: if we receive your cancellation email on 11:59pm on June 10th, your training slot will end June 30th)

2. If your cancellation email is received after midnight on the 10th day of the month, your training slot will end on the last day of the month following the cancellation request. (Example, if we receive your cancellation email on 12:01am on June 11th, your training slot will end July 31st, you will be billed a final time on July 1st)

I told Coach _______ that we wanted to cancel, why did I still get billed this month?2024-08-01T13:34:42-05:00

If you have ever been to one of our training sessions, you will probably understand that the coaches have a million different things going on in their head to ensure the training runs smoothly. Trying to remember who asked for a cancellation while running drills on 2 to 3 different courts is a difficult, if not impossible task. That’s why no coach is allowed to take a cancellation from a parent or athlete. The only way to cancel is by sending an email to Cancel@DeltaAthletics.com with your athlete’s first and last name. Once your email has been received, your cancellation will be processed according to our training policy.

I sent an email/text/SnapChat/Instagram asking to cancel, why am I still being billed?2024-08-01T13:32:45-05:00

We do not honor any cancellation requests by phone message, text message, social media account, or any other Delta Athletics email. We are a small business, and time spent trying to honor a cancellation via Facebook Messenger or other medium is time consuming, costly and difficult. We are working hard to make sure your athlete get the attention they deserve, so we ask that you honor our time and efforts by using the cancellation policy correctly.

The only way to cancel is by sending an email to Cancel@DeltaAthletics.com with your athlete’s first and last name. Once your email has been received, your cancellation will be processed according to our training policy.

My athlete missed a session (or sessions), can I get a refund?2024-08-01T13:23:51-05:00

We understand that sometimes life’s obligations become more important than attending a volleyball class. At Delta Athletics, we prioritize small class sizes to ensure personalized attention, allowing only 14 athletes per court. When an athlete misses a session, it not only affects their experience, it affects the experience of the other athletes in the program, and impacts our carefully planned staffing and court allocation.

Unfortunately, we’re unable to offer refunds for missed sessions as we’ve reserved your spot, staffed accordingly, and dedicated court time specifically for the scheduled session. However, we do have a straightforward cancellation process if your unforeseen circumstances require you to exit the program for the time being. Simply send an email to Cancel@DeltaAthletics.com with the athlete’s name, and we’ll assist you with any necessary adjustments.
