There are many excellent opportunities for girls’ to play volleyball in Mandeville, Louisiana and the area is well known for producing state contender high school teams and nationally competitive club teams. There are also many recreational playing opportunities in Mandeville and nearby cities. Girls’ volleyball starts in the public schools at 7th grade, and there are opportunities for recreational play at younger ages through the local recreation departments.
Unfortunately, boys’ volleyball has much more limited opportunities outside of Delta Athletics, with school play only in the 7th and 8th grade, limited recreational play, and no club presence. Adult play is available via local recreation departments.
