Improve Your Skills Over the Winter

Too young to join a club or travel volleyball team, but interested in learning how practices are run? Delta Athletics provides club-quality training without all the expensive trappings. Practices lead by USAV-certified coaches.

Program Details

Practices run 90 minutes in length, and are held at Chappapeela Sports Park in Hammond, with 8 sessions over January, February, and March. Training is modified for younger athletes – utilizing the Volley-lite regulation ball for under 12 play.

What to wear, what to bring

Please be dressed in workout attire (workout shirt + shorts or leggings), have proper volleyball shoes, and kneepads (required). A water bottle and snacks are recommended.

What will the athlete learn?

The athlete will gain a strong foundation in the proper techniques for playing volleyball, as well as the rules, positions, teamwork, and discipline necessary to be successful on a competitive volleyball court.
