All athletes will a training shirt and a Delta Athletics ball that is approved for high school and club competition.

Start your season right

Delta Athletics Season Gear Up is a program focused on getting ready for the school volleyball season. this program will prepare you for fall tryouts, get your skills ready for the next level, and help you get back into volleyball shape.

Program Details

Our Season Gear Up runs three hours each weekday (M-F) from 9am to 12pm. Each day will have a specific skill focus (serving, passing, setting, hitting, teamwork), and will have position-specific training for all positions.

What to wear, what to bring

Please be dressed in workout attire (workout shirt + shorts or leggings), have proper volleyball shoes, and kneepads (required). A water bottle and snacks are recommended.

What will the athlete learn?

The athlete will gain a strong foundation in the proper techniques for playing volleyball, as well as learn the rules, positions, and teamwork necessary to be successful on the volleyball court.

Is this a difficult program?

This program is meant to be challenging. We want you to be successful at your next level, so we will push you to become a better athlete. This will include skill development, physical challenges, and mental toughness training. But we strive to only give you challenges that you can handle, so your training with will be geared toward your needs.

COVID-19 Policies and Code of Conduct

Entry

All athletes, parents, and spectators must go through the entry station before fully entering the facility, and all entrants agree to adhere to the following:

  • Hand Sanitizing
  • Temperature Check
  • Volleyball Wipedown
  • Mask check

Backpacks are permitted, but must be separate from other individuals’ equipment, and left in the bleachers or along the sidelines.

It is recommended that all athletes bring a water bottle and keep it isolated. There are no active water fountains on premises.

Denial of Entry

Any athlete, parent, or spectator who does not meet the entrance requirements will not be allowed entry.

Any athlete who shows a fever at the entry station will not be allowed back into camp without proof of a negative COVID-19 test.

During Camp

All members and visitors must wear a cloth facemask for the entirety of practice.
Delta recommends a ‘balaclava’ or ‘neck gaiter’ style bandanna that can be worn around the neck and will not fall off during gameplay. These are available on amazon and many other locations.

All athletes will sanitize to elbows after each break in play

Exit

Athletes and parents are highly encouraged to follow CDC guidelines outside of the facility to mitigate risk of transmission.

All balls exiting the facility will be subject to a ball wipedown.

Shutdown due to COVID-19

If an athlete who has attended camp notifies Delta Athletics of COVID-19 illness or exposure, the camp will be shut down. A partial credit will be given to all athletes based upon the percentage of camp completed, less a management fee. The ball and training shirt are yours to keep.
